My Liberty

How many people really enjoy liberty? I would say all of us do like liberty. OK… So you like liberty, well did you know you do not just have a little bit of liberty, you have complete liberty when you receive Jesus? Then why is it that we become bound after we start going to church. Why is it that we become so religious? religiosity will cause you to lose your liberty. Man’s genetically altered ways or ideologies will cause you to question your liberty.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Paul was warning the people not to be entangled with the old ways or someone else’s ways. When you have liberty, that means you have been set free from all that you used to do and be around. Christ has given you complete liberty. He does not want you to be yoked with all that you used to do or even unbelief. A yoke will hold you back and keep you under slavery. Legalism in churches today keep the people from receiving and keep the people from growing in the Word of God. The one thing that I see in churches today and hear from the people is that we don’t associate with this group because they are not our kind of people. We don’t associate with this group of people because they do not take communion the way we do. There is a whole lot more than just these two mentioned here. Here is the largest form of legalism and one of the biggest things that hinder our liberty… DENOMINATIONS. Do we see anywhere in the bible where Jesus said we are supposed to be denominational. I think not, but yet there is denominationalism in church and we have separation and yokes of bondage. Why? Because man has tried to be in control. This is a mistake and should be done away with. We need the Pastor’s to speak the Word of God and remove the ideologies of man from the pulpit. It is unfortunate to see the churches being separated due to Denominationalism. Christ is coming for His Church, not a certain group that holds the most or even a certain group of race. He is coming for His bride and He does not want us to be entangled with a yoke of bondage. He wants us to know that we are free.

So I tell you today, be free! Be free from all that has oppressed you. God has not given you bondage. He gave you Jesus to accept and when you accept Jesus then you receive complete liberty in Him.

Be Blessed!

Dude…exactly! When I was saved, leaving behind the Catholic religion was a serious issue. It was easy for me to understand that Jesus just wants us to serve him, free of restrictions, but at that time (being young) it was so difficult for me to explain to people that religion just holds us back. Jesus doesn’t want practices and ceremonies…He just wants us to serve him freely, with all the Liberty he has given us.
