Being a strong man

Posted: March 29, 2010 in Bible, God, Joy, Love, Peace

Good afternoon,

Luke 11:21
When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace.

How do you get strong? When you train everyday by weight lifting and working out every muscle. You get strong by eating good foods and when have the right portions. When you run you are training your body to endure for a long period of time. When you stretch you are showing your muscles that you care about them and that you want them to get enough oxygenated blood into them. When you train hard you are conditioning your heart. Part of being a good strong man is to train the heart. The heart is the largest muscle we have in our body. Without it, we are dead. If we don’t workout, then we can die from not having a good heart. So where am I taking you all with this?

If you do not pick up your Bible and start reading it and praying daily you will be a spiritual wimp. You will not be able to guard your house, material things, your family, and you will not be able to hold onto your blessings because you have not trained yourself to read and pray. Reading is not enough, we need to take time and study the Word of God. God wants to bless us but he also wants us to train hard in His Word.

Remember when you gave your life to the Lord? At that moment it was awesome! But there comes a charge to you… in order for you to hold all your new spiritual armour you will have to put on the Word of God. At the moment you became born again you became a babe in the Word of God. Now you will need to begin to read and pray. If you don’t then the strong man will come and break you. He who is satan will come to kill, steal and destroy.

Arm yourself in the Word of  God and get your spiritual muscles strong. Jesus is coming soon! If your not ready and in shape you could be fooled and led astray.

God wants strong people and you can do it. Don’t let time dictate what you need to do. Spend time with the Lord and in His Word. Get pumped up on God’s Holy Word so that way when the enemy tries to kill, steal and destroy, you will not be a weakling, you will be a strong man and you will be prepared for the battle. Those that prepare well are the ones that will always triumph. Hey by reading your Bible and praying you will build your heart muscle and you will be healthier. Now this does not excuse you from working out your muscles daily. Get out there and run or at least walk fast. Lose the weight and increase the Word!

Loving You All,
