Isaiah 26:4 (Amplified Bible)

4So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].

In this scripture we see that we need to trust in the Lord. One of the ways we trust in Him is to commit ourselves to Him. We are committed to a lot of things but are we really committed to God? Do we lean on Him? Do we confidently hope in Him? I know we say we do but when the trials come or tribulation comes, who do you lean on? We tend to lean on our parents, teachers, friends and Pastors rather than leaning on God. I like to call this leaning on our own arm of understanding. Sure, parents, teachers, friends and Pastors can help you out and give you advice but in reality the best advice comes from God. After all it is God who knows all things.

We tend to go to God last, as if that is our last resort. Our reality has been to go to someone, rather than taking it to the Lord in prayer. Us humans can’t carry a lot on our shoulders. Our bodies were not designed to carry this kind of load. Stress is not something we should be taking on. The expert scientists and doctors have stated that too much stress will break down your body and make you vulnerable for various diseases and sicknesses. They say we should exercise, as this will help lower the stress. I must say I agree with both statements but I must throw in another part that I have not heard the scientists or doctors say… We must pray and cast our cares on the Lord. Why? Because He cares wholly for you.

1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible)

7Casting the [a]whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, [b]once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you [c]watchfully.(A)

This leaning on the your friend’s shoulder or parents or Pastor will give you some kind of help, but then again, maybe it won’t. We need to lean on the Lord! We need to trust in Him and trust in His Word.

If you are having a hard time trusting others then stop leaning on your arms that are around you and pick up your Bible and start reading and praying and lean on God’s big arms. God is bigger than any situation you might be going through. He is your strong tower, a mighty fortress, an everlasting Rock! God wants to help but He needs you to reach out to Him. You can have the Lord bless you and help you out all the time. Don’t wait till the last-minute to call upon Him. Your not wasting your time or His time by calling upon Him. Stop thinking God is too busy for this little situation! He always has an ear that is turned to His children. If you think you can do it on your own then you are mistaken. By thinking you can just do it yourself is matter of your pride. Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Leave all your problems in His hands and choose to trust the Lord today. He will not fail you! Go to the Rock and stand upon His Word!

Be Blessed Today!
