Matthew 11:2-3

King James Version (KJV)

2Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

3And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look (EXPECT) for another? (emphasis added)

John the Baptist was in constant expectation. He was the forerunner for the Christ. He was the man called to lay the foundation for Jesus the Christ to come and do many miracles. Expectation brings the manifestation of the anointing. God is ever ready for you and I to change our expectation levels.

I completely understand what it’s like to have expectation for something only to have it not come to pass. I have been promised in the past that I would get something only to not have a person follow through with what they said they would do. I believe many of us would agree with this statement. However, God is not one who would lie. First, He’s not man that He should lie. Second, He always follows through with what He says. Third, He is looking throughout the earth to hear someone and see someone with some great faith and expectancy.

John heard about Jesus and His miracles but John wanted to hear for himself if this was the one that has come to save His people. John wanted to see if this man was for real.

Vision brings expectation and what you say will cause people to observe you, to see if you are for real. People do not want the fake things but the tangible things. People want something they can touch, view, and get excited with you about. People will be looking at you when you expect great things and they will be looking for what you speak and say. Don’t be afraid to expect great things. Raise your expectation levels up and watch what God can do. Declare, Pronounce, Proclaim, Worship and expect the great things of the Lord to be seen and heard. This is an acceptable year of the Lord. Be Blessed!

Wow! Pastor Lil’ Phil–just what my spirit needed to here–EXPECTATION!! It’s been a struggle at times–I know what the Word of God says and His Promises are true–but you know the doctors, they keep insisting on what they saw when they opened me up. So, praise God, I feeling better and better, increasing in joy and strength in body–the doc that took out the staples was in a wonder because I don’t look like, or act like what they expected!!!! Praise Him always, and all the glory goes to the LORD. Thank you for this wonderful encouraging word. Love, auntie patty
