John 13:14,15
14If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Jesus said that He has given us an example. This example is not slave, but servant. This example is about honor. This example is about living a simplified life.

God made sure that Jesus had all of His needs met. Jesus served the Father. When we honor those in authority, we place a demand on the annointing that is on them. Jesus honored God by serving His disciples. Even though he was the Master, He was teaching them that they could and should serve at any level they are at. They should never reach a state where they are too high to serve. No matter the calling or annointing on your life, you are still called to serve.

The Word says that a student is not above his teacher; the servant is not above his master. God is our Master. Let us be like the student and the servant, ever ready to learn and to serve. Life is greatly simplified when you are not jockeying for position or trying to get noticed, but simply choosing to be a servant.

After all, the Word says that to be the greatest in the kingdom, you must be the servant of all. Be blessed as you serve this week.
