What are you?

Ephesians 2:10

King James Version (KJV)

10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

What are you? You are God’s special workmanship! He created you for a purpose. You might say for His purpose… What purpose would that be? One of the purposes is so that you will praise and worship the Almighty God. Another purpose is to share Jesus to the World. God’s Word says that you are a rare and peculiar kind of people. Your purpose is special. Your response might be that you don’t feel precious or rare. In today’s world you are rare when it comes to being a Christian. You are precious because God calls you precious. Your not ordinary but extraordinary!

If you don’t know your purpose then you need to get into a place that you can hear the Lord speak to you. He will tell you all kinds of great things that will encourage you. God will unfold His plan for your life. By the way, God’s plan for your life is found in His Word. One of the greatest purposes He has for you is to make Jesus known. God desires that you would make His Son famous. You can do this with the right plan. You were created in Christ Jesus unto good works. That means the works that Jesus did are also coursing through your body as well. You were created for a greater calling! You are His beloved. Stop trying to be someone else and just start being like the Jesus in you. No one likes a copycat. But, you just told me to be like Jesus. Yes I did, but I am talking about doing the works that He did and doing greater than He did. How can I do that? John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

So get out into this world of ours and start doing greater works. Not because you are ordinary, because you are extraordinary. Don’t be natural be the Supernatural! You Are His Workmanship! Be Blessed!

  1. Paul says:

Pastor Phil what are your thoughts on “purpose.” Its a topic that interests me greatly and would be keen to know your insight into it!.

To start the topic of purpose let’s take a quick look at the definition. Noah Websters 1828 Dictionary says that which a person sets before himself an object to be reached or accomplished. This is not an all inclusive definition, but it will give you and I a start to our conversation. Scripture tells us in Proverbs 20 every purpose is established by counsel. One of God’s purposes was to send a Savior to bring man into right standing with God. God purposed in His heart to establish a relationship with man. So let’s start here. I am intrigued by your question. I am excited to hear your thoughts. I am willing to learn as well.
