I am known by Him, not by others!

John 8:19

King James Version (KJV)

19Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

Jesus knew the Father and the Father knew Jesus. What does it matter if others don’t know you? You are known by the most heroic figure of all time…God. Oh! Maybe you’re not known by the Father. In order to be known in Heaven you must first have had to ask Jesus to come into your life. You must first make a confession of faith. You must confess Jesus as your Lord and when you do that Jesus will confess you before His Father in Heaven.  Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Everyone wants to have the spotlight. They want to be seen and known. They want the glitz and the glamor. Yet, Jesus did not want any of those things. We know that because the people came to take Him and make Him a King. John 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. Jesus was not looking for fame and fortune, but, to make God known and His Kingdom known. Don’t look to make yourself big or great. Don’t try to get famous being a Teacher, Pastor, Evangelist, Missionary, Prophet, or Apostle. Just make Jesus known and people will come to see you as a promoter who wants to make someone else famous.

One thing about being a good Teacher, Pastor, Evangelist, Missionary, Prophet or Apostle is that you will always have haters. Why is this a good thing? Because you are being persecuted just like Jesus said. You are walking in Jesus’ shoes. You are making God famous! Anyone who is a Jesus promoter should be persecuted. To be persecuted for Christ is to be Christ Like. Don’t try to get famous. Don’t try to get your name out into the public. Don’t try to make book deals happen or try to get on T.V.. If God told you to be on T.V. then wait for Him to help you. Don’t try to write books when God did not tell you to. Don’t try to do things on your own. Look to Him and wait on Him and you will be known by Him.  Don’t try to be known by others. Seek the One who counts the most when it comes to blessings. Seek the One who will call you famous. Seek Him and not others!

  1. Paul says:

Make Jesus famous…and I guess its making him famous through what we do also…

    Stay amazing.

  2. How fleeting and worthless popularity is. In seeking it we puff ourselves up, clothing ourselves in pride, self-deception, and even fantasy, as we try to detach ourselves from reality. In addition, our focus drifts off the Lord to man and their approval. What can the approval or disapproval of man do if our God is for us. Nothing. We can’t serve more than one master, you either strive to please man, and hence reap popularity and fame, or you please God and reap eternal life. As Paul says to the Galatians in Chapter 1, Verse 10: “If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
