1 John 3:6

King James Version (KJV)

6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Are you righteous or unrighteous? I like this scripture because people don’t really know who they are. People that commonly refer to themselves as old dirty sinners really have not looked into scripture to find out who they are not. I used to be one of those people who always thought that I was just an old dirty sinner saved by grace, until I came across scripture to tell me differently Why? Because I was taught this through the traditions of man. Genetically altered Bible. The truth is that I was an old dirty sinner saved by grace, but now, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. When you get born again you begin a process of living. You begin a process of living righteously. The old sinner man is done away with. Why? Because you are living for Him. If you are living for Him it is impossible to sin. I didn’t come up with this scripture the Lord did. If you are sinning then you have not seen Him and you do not know Him. Can you say OUCH?!

There is no sin in God. There is not, nor will there ever be sin in Jesus. So, who did you ask to come to make His home in you? Jesus of course! So, when you received Jesus, you took on righteousness! Many people today are so full of sin consciousness, that they have denied the righteousness for which they are called and identified. For you to deny righteousness, means you do not know God. For you to accept, that all you are is an old dirty sinner, is to accept satan’s words and some preachers genetically altered way. The Bible says whosoever abides (remains, continues, endures, perseveres) in Him, sins not. Who do you know? Some Christians know satan so well that they continue to hear and listen to him. Stop listening to him and start listening to the Lord. Who you listen to the most, will be who you will follow the most. Satan does not like for us to know that we are righteous! Being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is our identity. For someone to take your identity is to make you unknown. Satan wants to make you unknown. Why? Because if he can do this, then you will never be identified with Christ. If you’re not identified with Christ, you can’t see God. If you can’t see God, then how will you know God? Understand I do not mean to see Him with your natural eyes, but with your spiritual eyes. You should be able to see God so well in the Spirit, that you know His character, how He would act, how He would talk, how He would respond. If that is where your identity lies, in Him, then you will begin to do and say the same things He does, and you will not be able to sin, even as the scripture says. How powerful is that!

Who are you identifying with today?

  1. Paul says:

Pastor Phil I havent heard that phrase for a while “dirty old sinners”..yes amen we are the righteousness of God in Christ. Many struggle to cope with this revelation, we always try to get right when in effect we are right because we are in Christ.
The Lord bless you my brother

  2. Roy Hausler (Dad) says:

    Pastor Phil
We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and we are walking in the Spirit. However from time to time we get over into the flesh and say or do something that the Holy Spirit convicts us of, we missed it. When He convicts us all we need to do, immediately, is to confess to Jesus what we’d missed and INSTANTLY we are again fully the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Praise God! The simplicity of God’s plan is simply awesome.
