1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

King James Version (KJV)

16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Good Morning to you! Good Afternoon to you! Good Evening to you! These are simple words yet words that require a response. These are words from people who are dedicated. What are they dedicated to? They are dedicated to get responses from others. They are dedicated to greeting people.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been reminded about being a dedicated one. This blog today is about a woman in my life who was dedicated to rejoicing evermore, praying without ceasing, loving others in spite of what they have said about her and a woman who consistently gave thanks to God.

My Auntie Pattie was a woman of the Word of God. She loved to teach and preach. She absolutely loved God’s Word and she would let others know it. She stayed consistent all the way to Jesus. She was a dedicated woman. In the midst of trial she still prayed, rejoiced and gave thanks to God. Her life is remembered as a woman of faith, love, strength, perseverance, prophetess and prayer warrior. There is no doubt that she is interceding for you and I now. Thank you Auntie Pattie! Thank You God for such a woman.

I want to challenge you today… Are you dedicated? Will people remember you for being dedicated to prayer, rejoicing, giving thanks, loving without being loved, faith…ETC? Dedicated people don’t give up or give in. Dedicated people persevere!

To be dedicated you need to put yourself last. You need to put God first and then others. Rejoice constantly, pray continually, give thanks for everything that is of God. Don’t let yourself get distracted. Keep God the focus of your day!
