Matthew 5:5

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, [a]spiritually prosperous—[b]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!

To be meek is not being weak. The body of Christ is to model Christ. Jesus was patient. New Oxford American Dictionary defines Patient as able to wait without becoming annoyed or anxious. Faith works patience. If you are wanting something from God, get faith working and patience will follow. Without patience you will indulge yourself with anxiety and find yourself annoyed. In fact you might give up and give in, you might even just settle. God Always answers prayers, not whining and complaining. God answers faith prayers because they are the ones that please Him. What are you praying for? Will you put faith to work? Patience will cause strength to take place in your life. Wait upon the Lord and you will have strength. Seek God as your souls first necessity. Work Faith! Stay meek not weak because you shall inherit the earth. The weak die and the meek stay alive.

  1. Tony Puccio says:

(Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all the men on the face of the earth.)
    (Num 12:3 MKJV)

It says of Moses that he was the meekest man on the face of the earth at that time. Yet this meek man was the same man that ground up the golden calf that the Israelites had made, poured it out inot water and made the Israelites drink it.

And he took the calf which they had made and burned it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and dropped it upon the water, and made the sons of Israel drink of it.
    (Exo 32:20 MKJV)
    Agreed….meek does not mean weak!
