1 Corinthians 15:49

King James Version (KJV)

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Do you bear the image of the Heavenly? You are supposed to bear this image. Do you know what the image looks like? The image is Jesus! We are to bear His image in everything we do. Does the image of Jesus get mad and yell at people? Does the image of Jesus demonstrate gossip? Does the image of Jesus fight with other Christians?…ETC.

The image of the earthy man is easily puffed up. The image of the earthy man gets mad and yells at people. The image of the earthy man will gossip. The image of the earthy man will fight with other Christians. The image of the earthy man is touchy and full of feelings. The image of the earthy man will operate in his own wisdom and the wisdom will be touchy, earthy, sensual and devilish.

Do you get a picture of what I am talking about. You have a choice in which image you will bear. You can’t go back and forth. You shouldn’t switch it off then on. Pick a kingdom and operate in it. Heaven or Hell?

If your saved then you should be bearing the image of God! Really? Yes really! Numbers 12:8 (KJV)With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? The people who were the closest to Moses doubted him. Yet Moses had the image of God so greatly on him that he shined greatly of the Glory of God. But, Moses did not fight with Aaron or Miriam. Why? Because Moses was meek, which is a character of God and Jesus. What a great image for you and I to bear.

James 3:9 (KJV)Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

After you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you become a new creature. This new creature bears the image of God. If you don’t show it to the world then the world will miss out on the blessing. Reading, praying, living and speaking the Word of God will cause the image of God to be seen by man. Why is this important? So we can draw all men (human) to the Lord. People that have influence can either leave a good mark or a bad one. Jesus is our great influence and we are to be the same as He was on the earth. He bared the image of the Father! So can you and I.
