Matthew 7:24 (King James Version)

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Are you expecting a break-through? Are you ready for the Lord to open the doors you need opened? Are you waiting with great anticipation to see what God will do? If you are, that is great. If you are not, then get yourself prepared. God is wanting to bless His people. God is looking for people who are hungry for His Word and expectant.

As I was running this afternoon the Lord put these three words into my heart for the Church. Rooted, Grounded, and Stable. God wants us to get ourselves rooted, grounded and stable on His Word. He doesn’t want us to speak contrary to His Word. We need to get ourselves so rooted, and grounded in the love of God, that nothing will be able to separate us from Him. When we are stable in God’s Word it means that we are ready no matter what comes our way. Why? Because our house is built upon the true Rock. This Rock is the Lord our God.

If you don’t sink your roots down deep, you will find yourself shifting and moving. Roots that are grounded in the love of God will not move no matter the situation. Keep speaking God’s Word and keep holding on to what Jesus said. Like the scripture says he who hears these sayings of Mine and does them will be like a wise man which built his house upon a rock.

When you finish this fast I would like you to consider something… Instead of going back to your old eating habits, ask God what He wants you to do. Why would I say this to you? I said this to you because for about 3 weeks you let go of your old ways of doing things. For about a month you have found yourself healthier than you have ever been before. You have rooted and grounded yourself and now you are becoming stable. It’s when we add back those old ways of doing things that we become unstable again.

Many people have felt closer to God than they have ever been before. Giving up food is not easy and no one is trying to tell you not to eat. I am saying, think about how much food means to you and how much God means to you. You didn’t do this fast just to lose weight. You didn’t do this so people can see you with a sad countenance. You did this to be more hungry for God and His Word. You did this to get closer to God.

Are you feeling more stable now? I know I am! I know I am ready and able to receive all my breakthrough’s. I know God has something for you and I know He has something for me. Let us make sure that as we get closer to the end of this fast that we continue to thank the Lord for all He is and all He will do in us. 2011 is a year to be Unified to touch Glory. Stay expectant, be rooted, get grounded in your Bible, and get yourself stable in the Word of God that nothing will be able to shake you. You are blessed and highly favored of the Lord!

Isaiah 43:18-19 (King James Version)

18Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God wants His people to move forward. Too many times the believer finds themselves going back to their old past. God does not want you to go there. The devil on the other hand wants you to walk in your old past. Believers you have been given the greatest opportunity to start over. Many people start over but find themselves back in the past. Like that old movie Back to the Future. We should not go backwards but forwards. We learned from that movie that these two men were trying to change their future by going back to the past. We as Christians cannot change our future by going back to our past. We change our future by pressing on and reaching forward.

In this scripture God is telling us not to remember the former things. Why? Because when we go backwards there tends to be lot’s of hurts and disappointments. God does not want His people to be discouraged but He wants us to be encouraged. God says in His Word that He will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth. So, when are we going to start seeing new things. In this scripture we need to look at the word NOW.

The word now is defined as, at the present time or moment. God wants to bless us now. He does not want us to dwell in the past or dream about the past. God wants to do something great now. The fact of the matter is that we tend to focus on the past instead of the here and now. When we focus on the current circumstances we tend to be negative. Change your mindset and decide to be positive. Change your speech and start speaking God’s Word.

If you have had a prophetic word spoken over you and you have not reminded yourself of that word, then go back and look for that prophetic word. God was speaking to you about what you are supposed to have now. What will you do with what God has given to you? Are you a blessed person? Do you know, God loves you so much that He does not want you to not remember your old past or your old ways? Do you know God loves you so much that He wants to do a new thing in you? Are you paying attention to your past or are you paying attention to the Word of God?

Sometimes I have to ask God for help, so that I will not dwell on my past. God wants to do great things in me and my church. God wants my ministry to prosper and be full of love. So when I start to feel down or look back to my old past,  I have to say, “No, devil, I will not dwell there!” God has forgiven me of my past and He is blessing me now at this present moment. Glory to God, Jesus is still alive. God’s not dead, He’s still alive and He is watching over me. You are a blessing to the Lord and He loves you. Walk in the present and be blessed. You’re not dead so act alive and be alive in Christ.

Matthew 13:15
For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

What does your heart look like right now? What is the aroma of your heart? What is the condition of your heart? What is your heart beat like? Does your heart beat violently or is it a soft harmonious beat? What is the heart beat of God?

These are questions for you to ponder as you go through the rest of your day today. These questions are meant to be looked at from the spiritual point of view and not the natural. I can say your natural physical heart may not look so good if your spiritual supernatural heart is bad. Your physical heart rests on what you say about yourself and others. Your heart, if it is not worked out properly will cease and die. If your heart beat is off beat, then it will be painful. What am I talking about? I am talking about the aroma of your heart. I am talking about what your heart looks like…

Everyday we go out into a world that is filled with bad things and good things. The people all around us are watching and evaluating the world they live in. People are constantly looking at other people and making mental evaluations. If people see something that is good or bad they will begin to imitate the thing they saw. Children are the best imitators we see around us. They imitate other children, parents, and even animals. So what are we demonstrating in our churches? What is the Christian person demonstrating in their homes, communities, schools and other public places? What are you demonstrating Church? What are you demonstrating Pastor? What are you demonstrating Youth Pastor? What are you demonstrating Nursery Worker? What are you demonstrating Children’s Pastor? What are you demonstrating Worship Leader? Christian that comes to church every Sunday… What are you demonstrating outside of the church?

I am not getting on to anyone. I am challenging your mind and your heart. I am asking these questions because as a Christian we are supposed to be different. Our heart can go cold if we are not setting our hearts on God. Our heart can stink badly if we don’t change the way we talk. Our heart beat can stop, if we take our focus away from God. We need to change our attitude if it does not line up with the Word of God. Attitude towards God has a lot to do with our attitude towards others. People we have to make a choice about our heart. If you let it wax (grow) old and your eyes to go dim and your ears to be dull in hearing then you will not be able to discern anything that the Lord wants to do in your life.

God wants your heart just for Him. He wants your eyes focused on Him. God wants your ears tuned in to Him. God wants to bless you and He wants you to be a blessing to others. If the aroma of your heart stinks then nobody will want to be by you. It’s like this… If you stood next to someone who really stinks, what would you do? Of course most people would walk away and try to get out of that stinky person’s area. Well, if you look at your heart and see if it stinks and you have not deodorized it with God’s Word then people will not want to be around you. The reason why we need to look at our heart is that people will evaluate you based on your heart condition. Your attitude will tell people of your heart condition and it will give off the aroma. What does your heart smell like?

To change your heart quickly… Start by praising the Lord and confessing His Word! Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Psalm 33:21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Psalm 36:10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
