1 Timothy 6:12

King James Version (KJV)

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Many people talk about fighting the good fight of faith. Fighting the good fight of faith is not just fighting against satan and his cohorts. Fighting the good fight of faith is speaking faith words that bring forth reproduction. Your words bring forth reproduction. What you speak brings forth blessings or curses.

Jesus spoke and many were healed, delivered…ETC. Do words carry forth power? Yes! Scripture talks about your words and what they bring forth. The scripture in Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Your words are very powerful. You can bless someone and curse someone. Your words can make a situation good or bad. You need to keep your words clean.

As a believer you need to lay hold of eternal life. This means you need to understand and comprehend your life as being forever in God’s presence. Why do you need to do this? So you can continually keep your words clean. Here is an example… People arrive at a crash and see cars all messed up. These people are not going to speak good things but they will speak about the crash and even potentially bad things. More than likely the people will start talking about death. Maybe no one died but people will talk as if someone died. Why? Because they are moved by the situation. The point is this, if you lay hold of eternal life you won’t speak death. Why? Because your life is moved by eternal life.

You have negative people and positive people in a room. Whoever you hang out with is who you will talk like. The same thing applies with who you’re listening too. If your life is filled up with satanic things and you’re constantly listening to condemnation, who will you talk like? You will talk like the devil. If your life is filled up with godly things and you’re constantly listening to life, love, peace, joy and faith, who will you talk like? God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Your words are the container of your heart. Whatever you place in your container clean or dirty will spill out. Be cautious of what you bring into your life. They will show where you have been. Your profession of life will be seen and heard by many witnesses. Keep your words clean!

Hebrews 10:11-12

Amplified Bible (AMP)

11Furthermore, every [human] priest stands [at his altar of service] ministering daily, offering the same sacrifices over and over again, which never are able to strip [from every side of us] the sins [that envelop us] and take them away– 12Whereas this One [Christ], after He had offered a single sacrifice for our sins [that shall avail] for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,

Jesus made one sacrifice for all mankind. He did not go to the cross multiple times. He did it once, so that we would not be sin conscious. Too many Christians today are sin conscious and not righteousness conscious. Sin conscious will cause you to try to make multiple offerings of sacrifice for sins. Jesus took care of all sin at one time. We are to be righteousness conscious so that we will not entangle ourselves in sin.

Jesus is considered our High Priest. Hebrews 3:1 SO THEN, brethren, consecrated and set apart for God, who share in the heavenly calling, [thoughtfully and attentively] consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest Whom we confessed [as ours when we embraced the Christian faith]. Hebrews 4:1 Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him]. He does not go to the altar to make multiple sacrifices for you and I. Jesus does not go to the cross every time you mess up. He made one offering for all. Hebrews 10:14 For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy. God had a resolution about how to make us clean permanently. He had a way for us to be able to approach Him and His throne room. He made a way for the veil to be pierced. My brother Paul wrote the following in his blog today, and I quote “Without the sacrifice there could be no resolution, redemption or salvation.” This is so true! Without God, making a firm decision, you and I, would not have our sins cleansed or be redeemed or even have salvation.

Stop trying to make multiple sacrifices and stop remembering your old sin. Hebrews 10:16-17 16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Stop trying to remember your sin because He doesn’t! Start remembering who you are in Christ Jesus. You are the redeemed of the Lord. You are the righteousness in Christ Jesus. You are sanctified by the blood of the Lamb. You are God’s chosen, highly anointed and bless people. You are God’s special people. You are His delight!

Know today, that God is not, going to make another sacrifice. He is not going to put Jesus back on the cross. He is not going to take on this flesh and blood. He did it once, and that is all that is to say about it. Thank You Lord for the sacrifice you made. I will not look back on the old past. I will not make your sacrifice of none effect! Thank You Lord that I receive! Amen!

John 8:19

King James Version (KJV)

19Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

Jesus knew the Father and the Father knew Jesus. What does it matter if others don’t know you? You are known by the most heroic figure of all time…God. Oh! Maybe you’re not known by the Father. In order to be known in Heaven you must first have had to ask Jesus to come into your life. You must first make a confession of faith. You must confess Jesus as your Lord and when you do that Jesus will confess you before His Father in Heaven.  Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Everyone wants to have the spotlight. They want to be seen and known. They want the glitz and the glamor. Yet, Jesus did not want any of those things. We know that because the people came to take Him and make Him a King. John 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. Jesus was not looking for fame and fortune, but, to make God known and His Kingdom known. Don’t look to make yourself big or great. Don’t try to get famous being a Teacher, Pastor, Evangelist, Missionary, Prophet, or Apostle. Just make Jesus known and people will come to see you as a promoter who wants to make someone else famous.

One thing about being a good Teacher, Pastor, Evangelist, Missionary, Prophet or Apostle is that you will always have haters. Why is this a good thing? Because you are being persecuted just like Jesus said. You are walking in Jesus’ shoes. You are making God famous! Anyone who is a Jesus promoter should be persecuted. To be persecuted for Christ is to be Christ Like. Don’t try to get famous. Don’t try to get your name out into the public. Don’t try to make book deals happen or try to get on T.V.. If God told you to be on T.V. then wait for Him to help you. Don’t try to write books when God did not tell you to. Don’t try to do things on your own. Look to Him and wait on Him and you will be known by Him.  Don’t try to be known by others. Seek the One who counts the most when it comes to blessings. Seek the One who will call you famous. Seek Him and not others!

Isaiah 41:10

King James Version (KJV)

10Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Dismayed is defined as gaze in anxiety. You don’t need to look into any form of fear. Fear is not of the Lord. For God has not given you bondage once again to fear. You don’t have to look into your situation and try to work on it by using fear. Look at any situation you may have and then turn it over to the Lord. God told Joshua the same thing in Joshua 1:9. He told him… “be of good courage and be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed.” The real key to not being dismayed is doing what the Lord told Joshua to do in verses 7 and 8. He told him to meditate on the Word of God day and night. He told him not to let it depart from his eyes. Many that get dismayed are usually subject to not having read much Word and have not been in prayer. Reading the Word of God and praying are the essentials to knowing the Lord. The Lord works with you not against you.

As I continue to Pastor others I have watched many people fall because they become dismayed. They are constantly looking at the problem with anxiety and they begin walking with fear instead of turning it over to the Lord. It’s not that easy to be dismayed. It’s what you set your eyes (gaze) upon. Stop looking at the situation and how you think you can fix it. Stop seeking the author of confusion and start seeking the Author and Finisher of our Faith. Fear is perverted faith. Fear is the polar opposite of faith. It works the same as faith. It’s just the complete opposite. Faith in fear will bring the anxiety and torment.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus! Look to Him! Seek Him with all your heart! Know Him! Love Him! Believe on Him! Let NO FEAR come to mind and keep your gaze upon the perfect law of LIBERTY! Your confession of faith is… Because of Isaiah 41:10 I will not be dismayed because God is for me. He will strengthen me and help me. He will uphold me with His right hand of righteousness. I will not gaze upon my past. I will not gaze upon my problems. My God (El Shaddai) is on the Job. No one can take care of me like Him. My God is for me! Who can be against me? Praise the Lord! I am at liberty! Amen!

Be Blessed!
