1 Corinthians 13:3

King James Version (KJV)

3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

When I hear this verse or read it for myself I think about Pastors. There are many Pastors out there that give their stuff away. They feed the poor and they are constantly burning their body out. For what purpose would someone do all these things if they don’t have love? Some Pastors do it out of guilt from the church people. Some Pastors do it because of tradition or religiosity.

Paul was making something very clear here. If you give, feed and burn and you don’t do it out of love it will not profit you anything. Jesus, when He gave His body to the church, He did it with the love that He had for you and I. He gave his body as a love sacrifice. Did it profit the World? Absolutely! His body and His blood profited you and I. He did it out of the love that He had for the Father. It was God’s will that Jesus would go as a living sacrifice of love.

Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers if you can’t preach or teach out of love then you should not stand in the pulpit. If you are feeding the poor and giving all your goods to benefit others, yet you are not walking out love, then you should stop preaching, start receiving and start meditating on love. God wants love to be poured out whenever we preach, teach or give. God wants men and women to give with love and not out of duty.

Love does not give out of duty. Love gives because Love ( who is God) first loved us.

The reason why Paul wrote about giving, feeding and burning, with love, is that there is a reaping principle in place. Seed, Time and Harvest. This flows after everything. If you sow in love you will reap in love. Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV) 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. This principle is always at work. Paul wants people to sow love because out of love will flow the fullness of the blessing.

I have found that people receive when love is activated and flowing. People will respond to a loving person. Be that person of love today! Go the extra mile to love. Do you have issues with some people? Go bless them with love. Love your neighbor as yourself! It’s a great commandment. Will you follow it?

Matthew 13:25-29

King James Version (KJV)

25But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

This is a powerful parable. This is one of my favorites. Here’s the reason why… Jesus is talking about the sower. The sower has worked hard and sowed his field with good seed. The fruit bearing seed. The seed that will produce after its own kind. I want you to see something here though. The enemy came in and sowed tares the kind that produces after its own kind. The tares were sowed to cause the wheat to die. How? The rich soil will hold any kind of seed. It could be good seed and bad seed. The tares are the representation of bad seed. This seed was used to choke out the wheat seed and to steal the harvest. To cause the harvest to fail. What I know about plants is this… If you plant something closer to a different plant one of them will try to take over and dominate. The one plant will try to steal sunlight and as well as the nutrients and water from the other.

Here’s the thing I want you to know and understand. To the untrained eye the tares and wheat will look the same. If the harvester is not trained properly he will gather both types and the potential for death is certain. The tares mimic wheat. They actually look like wheat. They are fake fruit! Fake fruit will give you a fake harvest.

These tares are very poisonous. If swallowed it can cause death. This is just like the enemy of your soul. While you are out working for the Lord and sowing good seed, he (enemy) has gone through one of the doors that you left open. He came in and sowed dangerous seed. When you look at your harvest you see that you have two different types of fruit growing. Don’t mix this up though. They will both have to be reaped and one will have to be thrown out. But which one? They both look the same! The one that is genuine. The one that produces after its own kind. The reason why the servants asked the master about the tares is that they recognized the difference. They sowed enough wheat to know what wheat looks like. They were not fooled. They recognized the difference of wheat and tares and the little differences.

Fake is defined as a thing that is not genuine; a forgery or sham. The church today needs to be ready and prepared. There is plenty of fake Christians (religious and traditionalist) and fake Pastors. They sound good but the fruit they are producing is fake. Are you fake? Do you look like real fruit? Are you producing a good harvest or a harvest of forgery? A tree is known by its fruit. A King is known by his kingdom. Since the fall of man satan has been known. He knows the Word of God and he knows how to trick and deceive. Make a choice and check out the fruit before you eat. You could be eating poison.

The Church I love thee with an everlasting love. I am zealous for My Love. How I desire thee to be fruitful and to multiply. I desire thee to be blessed and to bless others. Prepare yourself like a farmer will prepare his field for the rains. The unprepared farmer will not increase and will not be able to be a blessing. Prepare your soil (soul) the day is coming that your harvest will be judged. Will you look to Me declares the Lord? Will you work in my field? Will you be prepared? I am looking for the genuine people. I am looking for laborers, for My harvest is truly bountiful!

Genesis 4:5

King James Version (KJV)

5But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

God did not respect Cain’s offering. Why? Because Cain didn’t offer the animal sacrifice. While he did give of his ground, he did not give what God required. Cain could have sold his fruit and vegetables to Abel to receive an unblemished lamb. These boys knew what to do because they watched their father for years. Adam knew how to sacrifice to the Lord. Adam knew how to give his very best. I am positive he taught his family how to honor the Lord with their increase. I believe Adam was a great dad. Why? Because he was made in the similitude (likeness) of God.

Today the church is lacking in the proper Tithes and Offerings. Why? Because Fathers and Mothers are not teaching their children what it means to be a blessing. The body of Christ is lacking today because the lack of teaching from the pulpit. Some Pastors are lacking in the teaching of tithes and offerings because it makes them feel as if they’re trying to dig into people’s wallets. Well Pastors, you don’t have to feel that way ever again. Congregates you don’t have to feel that way either. The Pastors are not asking for the tithes and offerings, God is. God is the one who ordained Tithes and Offerings. We can see this in Malachi chapter 3. You can also find out why it is important to teach on Tithes and Offerings in the New Testament in Hebrews 7. God has made it clear that He wants the first of your increase. You are also to bring an offering.

If you are not doing your part where the Word is concerned you will be able to see why God has not blessed you with an overflow. Many churches are lacking and dying because of the lack of teaching tithes and offerings. The people perish for a lack of knowledge. Why? Because the people are not being taught what the Bible says. This is true where Fatherhood is concerned. Men need to teach their children to honor the Lord and honor His house. Pastors are like Fathers. Pastors need to teach the people how to offer a correct tithe and offering.

I don’t know about you, but I refuse to be a fake Pastor. I refuse to let the people escape from the Word of God. I refuse to give in and shut up. I will continue to teach on Tithes and Offerings in our church. I will continue to show the people and not just teach them. I will continue to offer God the correct Tithe and Offering. I don’t want God to be disrespected. I will pay what is due and offer freely with a cheerful heart. God wants my best in money and everything else. I will cheerfully do this because it will cause the blessing to come and overtake me.

This Sunday I challenge all who read this to start tithing and bring offerings. I challenge you to test God to see if He will open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing. The tithe is ten percent of the gross amount on your check. The offering is above the tithe and that is to be freely and cheerfully given. You can’t know if you’re not taught and you can’t grow if you’re not challenged. I love you all and I want the blessing to overtake you!
