Hebrews 11:1

King James Version (KJV)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is a substance. What is a substance? Substance is assurance and it is also confidence. In another translation it is a reality. In another translation it is assurance, confirmation or even a title-deed. These words are strong and carry insurmountable weight.

Faith can not be overcome unless the believer decides to give in to the pressures of this world and it’s facets. Faith is now! This means it occurs the moment you release and believe. Faith does not look for others to agree. Faith steps out by itself. Faith is a decision maker and will stand firm. Faith is based on the confidence of knowing. Knowing is having intimacy. Proper intimacy occurs through time spent.

Who you spend time with the most is who you will have a confidence in. When a husband and wife spend much time together they develop confidence in the other person. They learn about one another. They find out about their likes and dislikes. They learn about each others downfalls and victories. They learn and become more acquainted with their being. Knowing is about examining, asking questions and seeking answers. How does this all apply to faith?

It takes faith to get saved. You can not be saved without faith. My wife, children, friends or Pastor can not get me saved. It takes my faith and my confession to get saved. Same thing applies when it comes to believing for something. It takes my faith in the Lord that He will move mightily. My faith in the Lord is substance and it will increase the more time I spend with Him. The more intimate time that I spend with the Lord the better I will be acquainted with His being. People might argue that you can’t know God but I will have to say that you’re wrong. Why? Because He is a loving Father and He shows Himself mighty always. Just like a father will spend time with his children so does the Heavenly Father do with His children. He is always ready for conversation and He desires to spend time with you. Prayer is a time of intimacy not a chore. It’s not a chore to spend time with my wife. It is a blessing. The more time I make myself available to her the more acquainted she will be with me and I with her.

Faith that moves mountains is the same faith that helped you get saved. Your faith to move mountains is the substance, assurance, confidence, confirmation and title-deed. If you release your faith for something you can guarantee yourself the greatest results possible. It’s the lack of faith where people falter. If you don’t read your Bible your faith will fail because it’s lacking development and you always believe that God does not answer prayer. Romans 10:17 Amplified Bible (AMP) 17 So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself). Faith comes by hearing and hearing what Jesus preached.

Your worldly faith can be built up by people of the world. When we hear a story about something that is going on we tend to listen and have faith in what someone says. You can have perverted faith, which is fear. Fear is perverted faith! People fear things that have been told to them and they themselves have never experienced it for themselves, but they know they are afraid because of what someone has said. The devil spreads perverted faith and he develops it with words. It is the polar opposite of what God has done with His Word. The devil has words and God has the Word. What you hear the most will develop faith into either one. One will be faith and faithful. The other will be fear and fearful. One will be God’s Word and the other will be the devils words.

Get your faith built up on the Word of God because the devil is trying to build your faith in his fear based words. Stay in your Word(Bible) daily and confess God’s Word and you will see an increase.

Be Blessed!

1 Timothy 6:12

King James Version (KJV)

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Many people talk about fighting the good fight of faith. Fighting the good fight of faith is not just fighting against satan and his cohorts. Fighting the good fight of faith is speaking faith words that bring forth reproduction. Your words bring forth reproduction. What you speak brings forth blessings or curses.

Jesus spoke and many were healed, delivered…ETC. Do words carry forth power? Yes! Scripture talks about your words and what they bring forth. The scripture in Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Your words are very powerful. You can bless someone and curse someone. Your words can make a situation good or bad. You need to keep your words clean.

As a believer you need to lay hold of eternal life. This means you need to understand and comprehend your life as being forever in God’s presence. Why do you need to do this? So you can continually keep your words clean. Here is an example… People arrive at a crash and see cars all messed up. These people are not going to speak good things but they will speak about the crash and even potentially bad things. More than likely the people will start talking about death. Maybe no one died but people will talk as if someone died. Why? Because they are moved by the situation. The point is this, if you lay hold of eternal life you won’t speak death. Why? Because your life is moved by eternal life.

You have negative people and positive people in a room. Whoever you hang out with is who you will talk like. The same thing applies with who you’re listening too. If your life is filled up with satanic things and you’re constantly listening to condemnation, who will you talk like? You will talk like the devil. If your life is filled up with godly things and you’re constantly listening to life, love, peace, joy and faith, who will you talk like? God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Your words are the container of your heart. Whatever you place in your container clean or dirty will spill out. Be cautious of what you bring into your life. They will show where you have been. Your profession of life will be seen and heard by many witnesses. Keep your words clean!

Be Blessed!

Psalm 84:5

King James Version (KJV)

Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

You’re not alone in this life. God the Father is with you always. You’re strength is in the Lord. Through life’s pains and struggles, look to the One who can relieve you of it all. God loves you so much. Sometimes you just need to be reminded that God is always with you. Put your life into His hands and He will show you how much He loves you. Don’t rely on yourself but look to God who is the Author and Finisher of your faith. He will not leave you or forsake you. God is with you always.

If you feel alone, call out to God and He will answer. You can’t rely on your friends and family to keep you strong. You need to look to the One who is always strong. God is your source. Man can help, but man cannot get you through the tough things in life. God can get you through tough and rough times. God always responds.

The Psalmist writes that a blessed man is the one whose strength is in the Lord. He is also talking about the man who trusts in the Lord. The man who relies on the Lord. The man who knows the Lord. If your strength is in man you will fail. Why? Because man has limited strength in himself. If you rely on God you will receive the unlimited strength. The unlimited reliability. The unlimited love. The unlimited power. The unlimited fatherhood. God is waiting on you to rely on Him. Remember… You’re not alone.

Ezekiel 33:30-33

King James Version (KJV)

30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord.

31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

With the way everything is going in our world today, the believer needs to stop playing church. As I have said before it is time to stop playing. People have become so used to the feel good sermon that Pastors are more inclined to tickle the people’s ears and hearts. Church! God is not playing! The heart of the matter is that God is doing great things in the Earth and many believers are missing it. Why? Because they want to hear what they want to hear.

Believers it’s time to stop playing and only hearing what you want to hear. Covetousness can and will destroy a person’s heart. I want the people to be encouraged! However not at the cost of going to hell. I want people to be blessed but not at the cost of losing their soul. I want people to succeed but not at the stake of earning the worlds way.

God is pouring out in our Nation and in the World. He is looking for Worshipers to arise. The heart of truth is that the believer needs to step up and step out. The believer needs to listen and obey God. The believer needs to not talk truth but live it.

What is your part? Stop playing church, stop acting, start being real, step up to what you believe, make Jesus known in your family and in your community. Don’t just be a hearer of the Word, be a doer. In the book of James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Many say they are doing something but in reality they are just talk. Be a doer, not just a hearer otherwise you will deceive yourself.

God is looking for doers and ones who will push ahead. You might mess up but if you do, don’t let it keep you down. Stay focused on Him! Keep your face forward and don’t look back. God is speaking are you listening?

1 Corinthians 13:2

The Message (MSG)

2If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.
There are many who speak God’s Word with power and conviction. They encourage others and they have great faith but lack great love. It’s the love that Jesus had for the people who made Him powerful. It’s the love that Jesus had that caused His compassion to be demonstrated to the hungry, helpless, hopeless, diseased, widowed, orphaned, lame, deaf, mute, leprous, dead…ETC.  It’s the love that Jesus has that draws people to repentance. It’s the love that Jesus had that made Him go to the cross for you and I.
Love truly rules! Without the unconditional love, Jesus would have never went to the cross. The unconditional love that God has for theWorld is one that would cause Him to send His only Son to the cross for you and I. When I think about love, I think about Jesus’ suffering for you and I. When I think about love, I think about Jesus providing the only way to heaven. When I think about love, I think about how much more I could give and how much more I can do to demonstrate this love.
If someone were to write your epitaph, what would it read? I want mine to read… The man who absolutely loved everyone. The man who showed others the love God. The man who wanted nothing more but to love and make the love of God known. Where’s the Love?
God is not looking for good Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Preachers and Teachers. God is looking for loving Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and teachers. God is waiting for people to step into a true movement of Love. To properly love someone you must learn to love God first. Real love is not based on what you can give me. Real love is based on what can I do for you? How can I help you? How can I bless you? My main purpose is to bless others. To minister in the physical or online. Be a blessing today!

John 8:12

King James Version (KJV)

12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

There are relationships and acquaintances. Relationships are ones that take two or more people to work together. Relationships are meant to get to know one another. Relationships use the word know. Know, at the deepest definition of the word is intimacy. With an acquaintance you will not have true intimacy. True intimacy is one who will walk with you through the hard or good times. True intimacy will always keep you in the light.

What is your relationship with God the Father like? Are you on a one on one knowledge of Him? Do you know Him? I ask this because, I hear people talk about God like they know Him but I don’t see the relationship. I hear them say hallelujah but don’t see them persevering. I hear them quote scripture but I don’t see the results. Why? Because some people only have God as an acquaintance and not as a relationship.

Jesus said in John 8:12 that He is the light and if you follow Him you will not be in the dark. To walk in the light of life you must have a relationship with the one who is the light of life. A real relationship is built on trust and unity. Life is not always easy but that does not mean you have to live in the dark. Spend time with the Lord and get to know Him. He will keep you in the light of life. He will help you to build that trusting relationship with Him. God the Father, Jesus the Son, Holy Spirit our Comforter all work together as one. But all require a relationship of unity. If the Three in One did not work together then they would not be able to show us a relationship that is bound.

Remember it takes two to start a relationship. Relationships are meant to last for eternity. If you want your relationships to last, you should make sure your relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are on point. Develop your relationship with the Lord first and watch your other relationships develop into godly relationships. Remember relationships are built on trust and know. Know the difference between a relationship and an acquaintance. Relationships are ones that are always giving and receiving. Love is the true and solid ground. Acquaintanceship can give but for the most part, it’s about taking. It not all about receiving. Receiving is about giving without regard. Taking is about my needs only and not caring about others.

If you don’t feel like you have a good relationship with God, start today, it’s never too late. He desires for you to have an intimate relationship with Him. Get to know your Father God, you’ll be glad you did!

Be Blessed!

Psalm 18:32 (King James Version)

32It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

It is God who gives us strength to go forward. The definition of the word persevere is to persist in anything undertaken; maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty, obstacles, or discouragement; continue steadfastly.

Some years ago I was hurting really bad. I felt like I was not accomplishing anything in my life. I did not have a job and I was getting really depressed about not providing for my family. I felt like a loser and failure. I felt as if my world was crashing all around me. I did not want to read my bible or even praise. Of course I would go to church and put on the smiles but inside I felt like a loser. One day I went out to a job interview and the company gave me the job, as long as I got my selling license. I went down to the D.M.V. and I asked for a selling license and they told me what I needed and after everything I did they told me I had to pay $97.00 for my license. I did not have any money at the time, “so how was I going to get this job?” I decided at that very moment to give up! I decided that I was not going to persevere. I was very negative! I didn’t know what I was going to do. I was upset and I began to cry. I called out on the Lord and told Him everything that He was doing wrong. I told Him that He did not understand and I yelled out “how are You going to fix my problem?”

I decided to drive to my Dad and Mom’s house and as I was on my way there when I heard a still small voice tell me to read the book of Mark. So, I got out my bible and sat on my Dad and Mom’s couch and I  began to read the book of Mark. I started to see all that Jesus went through. Jesus persevered through the agony of His people’s accusations, the denial of a friend, spitting, punching, a man named Pontius Pilate, the scourging, the nails, the cross and even death. I began to cry out and I found myself looking to Jesus to ask for forgiveness. I had to ask for forgiveness of refusing persevering. I was sad for acting foolishly. I was sad for telling God that He did not know what I was going through. I needed God to just love me. I needed to be hugged and loved on. I sat on the couch for about 4 hours and I just cried and all of a sudden I heard the Lord start speaking to me and telling me that He loved me and that everything was going to be alright. He told me I needed to persevere and to stop giving up! I had an awesome time with the Lord. It was just me and God. I felt loved and I felt encouraged. I decided that I was not going to quit or give up, but, I was going to persevere. God gave me the strength to push ahead!

You know God wants you to persevere through it all. The only way you can do this is to count on the Lord for your strength. It is however, your responsibility to persevere in spite of the difficulties ahead. I would say that if you are going through something right now, look to God for strength. Don’t give up! There are too many Christians giving up today! They feel as if they can not hang on. Well, without the Word of God in your heart and in your mouth you will not be able to hold on. With the Word of God in your heart and in your mouth you will be able to meet all circumstances. Why? Because the Lord your God has equipped you with His Word and has given you His Son to teach you how to speak, say and persevere. God has given you strength to persevere. Habakkuk 3:19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. Stop trying to do it all yourself and ask God for help. Lean on God’s arms and not on your friends and family. Stop looking at everyone else’s miracles and blessings and go and get your’s.  Just around the corner is your miracle. Just around the corner you are about to come out of your situation. So don’t stop now! Keep pushing ahead!

Walking in the blessing,
